Wanda White

Wanda L. White, 85, of Crittenden, KY, formerly of Decatur, IL passed away on Thursday (Jan. 19, 2012) at Grant Manor Nursing Home, Williamstown, KY.

A service to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2012) at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. White was born on August 18, 1926 in Green Castle, IN, the daughter of Ernest and Susie (Miller) Phipps. Many years ago Wanda worked at Hi-Flier Kite Factory in Decatur, IL. She married Donald N. White in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Surviving are her children: Michael White of Decatur, IL, Vicki White of Decatur, IL, D. Greg (Sue) White of Decatur, IL, Janet E. (Steve) Leach of Crittenden, KY; brother: John Phipps of Tuscola, IL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
